People Grand Theater

Dramas, operas, musicals and ballets by both Chinese and foreign ensembles are staged in this well-appointed theater that can seat 1006 spectators. The main stage measures 255 square meters in area, while the auxiliary stage, 200 square meters. The venue also contains various supporting facilities, like a hall dedicated to the display of oils, a café, a ticketing hall, a hall for art books and materials, a Chinese restaurant, five lounges (including 2 VIP lounges), and an underground parking lot that can park nearly 130 vehicles.

Zhejiang Cinema

Zhejiang Cinema, originally known as Zhejiang Theater, is housed in a 70-year-old-plus building conceived by a German architect. Located on People’s Square and close to Fuzhou Road, the 6-sound-track modern cinema can seat 341 people and attracts moviegoers with its pleasant interior décor and comfy seats.

Huangpu Theatre

This modern facility located where Beijing East Road and Guizhou Road meet not only is for movie screening, but also is a base of education on patriotism. The 400sqm exhibition hall contains a few sections. Visitors can learn about the history of China’s national anthem through the exhibits including documents, photographs, items and sculptures.
