Summer Sonic Festival Coming to Shanghai in August

Summer Sonic, which premiered in 2000, is a large urban rock festival held simultaneously in Tokyo and Osaka in mid-August each year. It has become a globally recognized music brand and commands a devoted Asian following thanks to its international star-studded lineup, exciting on-the-ground experiences and outstanding productions. "Going to Japan for Summer Sonic" has also become a choice for many Chinese music lovers seeking high quality music festivals. Summer Sonic of Japanese origin will come to Shanghai soon.

The first list of big-name bands that has been released contains not only The Kooks and The Fratellis which could jog the fond memories of many and Nothing But Thieves which is called the successor of Muse, but also Dirty Loops which has gained its worldwide name for its pop song adaptations and Marlo who`s considered the leader of DJ and Trance styles. According to the impresario, incomplete statistics suggest that the records of all the entertainers who are to appear in the music festival have sold 160 million worldwide.

In addition to the stars, the festival`s attempts to work with players from various fields are a far cry from those of other festivals. Except for ROKON which it has been announced will be in, Trance Family Asia, a world famous music brand, will also get onboard and do an uninterrupted 6-hour Trance performance. Music diversity aside, Summer Sonic Shanghai will also work with many fashion brands for an unforgettable on-the-ground experience that befits its status as an international music festival.
