|A History of the World in 100 Objects from the British Museum
|"A History of the World in 100 Objects from the British Museum" has rolled into town. The exhibition started on June 29 and will last 102 days until October 8. Shanghai is the 9th stop of its world tour. Before Shanghai, it was mounted at the National Museum of China.
The exhibition has brought together 100 exemplary exhibits from the British Museum`s remarkable collection of 8 million objects-these 100 exhibits are the most convincing representation of the history of humans from the dawn of civilization to the modern world we are living in.Arranged in a chronological order and following the trajectory of human civilization,the exhibits reflect the immensity and profundity of the human history.
Admission is free. With the upcoming summer sultry weather and expected large visitor flows, up to only 8000 visitors are allowed in everyday. More staff and volunteers will be on hand to keep order and provide services. In order to better meet the needs of the enthusiasts, at night 18:00-21:00 every Friday the exhibition hall for the 100 objects and the "Sissi and Hungary" hall will also remain open. Reservations can be made through WeChat. Barcode needs to be scanned for entry.
