Shanghai-Mexico City Flights Frequency Increased
Aeromexico, Mexico`s global airline and the only carrier in Latin America that offers direct service to Asia, celebrated on July 5 the increase to five flights per week to Shanghai, to offer its customers enhanced connectivity options.

The Boeing 787-8 Dreamliners that Aeromexico utilizes to serve these routes are equipped with the latest entertainment systems with individual touchscreens featuring 144 films and 200 TV shows. The airplane also features extra space between seats and larger overhead bins for carry-on bags, bigger windows that can be dimmed at the touch of a button, improved cabin pressurization that reduces fatigue and jet lag symptoms, Sky Interiors LED lighting and new inflight menus, among other benefits.

Mexico and China have a constructive and growing bilateral relationship. The sum of trade between the two nations between January and June last year stood at USD 39.882 billion, positioning China as Mexico`s second-largest trading partner.

The commercial dialog has created optimal relations between these two nations while air passenger traffic has also produced favorable results. In 2016, Aeromexico carried more than 57,600 passengers between Mexico City and Shanghai, with close to 26,000 carried between January and May this year, including over 7,000 passengers on the route in May alone.
