|"China-Australia Tourism Year" Shanghai Promotion Held in Australia
|2017 marks the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Australia, and is also the "China-Australia Tourism Year" named by the leaders of the two countries. The "2017 China-Australian Tourism year" - Shanghai-Hubei - Yangtze River Tourism Promotion Alliance Culture Promotion & "Vocal Force" Concert was held at Sydney Opera House on April 3. Over 400 people from China`s diplomatic missions in Australia, the tourism organizations of the two countries, the circles of politics, commerce, culture, education and media as well as overseas Chinese communities attended at the event.
In the 8 weeks from March 20 to May 14, a single-deck bus sporting the "Shanghai Tourism Ambassador" Hu Ge and the "Yangtze River Tourism Alliance Ambassador" Vocal Voice will patrol downtown Sydney`s bustling places. The bus is intended to project the image of Shanghai as an appealing tourist destination and showcase Shanghai`s diverse tourism culture with an eye-pleasing advertisement design "on the move".
In addition, in the 12 weeks from March 20 to June 11, a massive billboard advertisement will be placed at Brisbane International Airport. By featuring the image about the introduction of China Eastern Airlines` nonstop flights between Shanghai and Brisbane, the billboard will further help publicize Shanghai and attract more visitors from Australia to the modern metropolis of China.
