Longhua Temple

Shanghai 2015 New Year's Concert will be staged at Shanghai Symphony Orchestra's well-appointed new concert hall. Century-old Shanghai Symphony Orchestra has been putting on Shanghai New Year's Concert on December 31 since 2009, grafting New Year's concert, a cultural invention from the west, onto the new year celebration landscape of the big metropolis in the east. In addition to the New Year's Concert on December 31, two additional concerts by Shanghai Symphony Orchestra and two concerts by London Philharmonic Orchestra will also be staged. The "Social Factory" exhibition at the power plant-turned Shanghai Contemporary Art Museum examines the elements of "social facts". It is a throwback to 1978, a year that marks the start of China's modernization drive.
