Expo I-Pavilion is located in Expo 2010 Urban Best Practices Area (UBPA) on the west side of Huangpu River. It was particularly built to accommodate joint cases among other renovated pavilions. It was designed by a famous Italian architectural design association. The substance used to build the external walls of the pavilion is a pure white membrane structural material. With external meshy rhombus windows allowing entry of daylight, the building impresses visitors with its simplicity and modernism.

The pavilion is a single-storey building of 15.39 meters high with an area as large as approximately 2200 square meters. The internal space of the pavilion was designed exquisitely with covered infrastructures and a uniquely designed roof to obtain indirect light. Moreover, the whole pavilion was built without columns so that the internal space is maximized to ensure comprehensive structural integrity and plasticity. The pavilion has held many shows, such as Porsche 911 car show, Piaget jewelry show, Lamborghini car show, Hennessy new packaging show.
